For Churches

We serve alongside the local church

The BAM North America Conference equips business people to live out their faith through the companies they lead, invest in, work for or hope to build.

For churches, we offer a practical extension of discipleship: helping members connect their faith with their weekday decisions and responsibilities. We’d love to come alongside your pastors and leaders as you encourage the business people in your congregation, in whatever way fits your church.

Who we are

The BAM North America Conference is a not-for-profit initiative that supports the local church’s work in the marketplace. Our aim is to help business people grow in faith, deepen their involvement in their home churches and build businesses that bless their communities.

Building on what your church already offers

Many churches nurture faith at work through small groups, marketplace fellowships and Bible studies for professionals. BAM builds on that foundation by exploring how faith can shape the business itself.

We help owners, investors, professionals and emerging entrepreneurs connect Christian convictions with practical decisions: whom they hire, how they treat employees and customers, how they use resources and how they serve their communities.

Our hope is that participants return to your church with clearer purpose, practical ideas and a renewed desire to serve.

Ways your church can take part

01

Pray with us

Prayer is the foundation of this work and the invitation we extend to every partner church. Pray for the business people in your congregation, for the conference and for businesses across North America and around the world seeking to honour God.

02

Introduce someone

If you know a business person who might benefit from BAM, we’d be grateful for an introduction.

We’d also love to welcome a senior pastor from your church as our guest. Contact Mike Davies for details.

03

Share the invitation

Consider sharing the conference in your newsletter, mentioning it during a service or passing the details to a member who comes to mind. We’re grateful for each introduction and every word of encouragement.

04

Sponsor or attend together

Some churches choose to sponsor the conference or book a table for their members. These are welcome opportunities, with no expectation of financial support. You know your church’s priorities and capacity best.

A limited number of special-rate tickets are available for registered not-for-profits, charities and churches. Pastors and ministry leaders can contact us for details.

Whether your church prays, shares an invitation or sends a group, we value your partnership.

Giving and the local church

We believe generosity is part of business as mission, and we encourage every business person we serve to keep their tithe with their home church.

Beyond that commitment, some owners choose to support BAM, foundations or other ministries. We encourage thoughtful, prayerful decisions about that giving, with counsel from trusted church leaders and qualified advisers where appropriate.

What happens after the conference matters

We care about whether attendees return to their churches more rooted in faith and whether their businesses bring lasting good to their communities.

With attendees’ permission, we will follow up at 90 days and 12 months and share what we learn in a brief annual summary with interested partner churches.

Annual summary

We will track three areas:

Faith shaping business decisions

Concrete changes in hiring, pay, customer care, how resources are used and how openly faith is lived at work.

Connection to the local church

Whether attendees have found or reconnected with a church home, or become more involved in serving, giving or leading.

Connections between pastors and business people

Introductions from churches to BAM, and occasions when BAM encourages participants to seek their pastor’s counsel, prayer or blessing.

As our ability develops

As our ability to track outcomes develops, we hope to include partnerships between businesses and church community ministries, alongside prayer requests that attendees consent to share with partner churches.

Kaleo Business Lab ↗

A next step for your members

The conference is the beginning of an ongoing journey. For participants ready to act on a decision, the Kaleo Business Lab offers a next step where business judgment and faith help shape the company together. We’ll share details so your church can help interested members find their way forward.

How we listen and report

We’ll use an optional registration question about church connection, short follow-up surveys and a record of introductions between pastors, participants and our team.

Partner churches will receive a one-page annual summary, with findings reported in aggregate.

We also welcome your feedback on what would make these updates more useful. We’ll report honestly, including where participation is limited or an outcome proves difficult to measure.

We’d love to meet you

Whether you’d like to pray with us, introduce a business person or simply learn more, we’d welcome a conversation about what partnership could look like for your church.
