Resilience: Peace & Wholeness in Your Business as Mission

Part of the global Business as Mission movement
With BAM Global, across North America

The BAM Manifesto

At the Lausanne 2004 Forum, 70 business, church and mission leaders from every continent collaborated on these affirmations. The BAM Manifesto sets out why business belongs at the heart of God’s mission. It’s been translated into at least 17 languages, and it still shapes the movement this conference is part of.

From the Manifesto

“The real bottom line of Business as Mission is … for the greater glory of God.”

Inside the conference

A few minutes from a past BAM Vancouver gathering: a keynote, an owner telling a hard story, a table working on a decision. Watch, and you’ll know whether this is your room.

Two days, four ways
to work on your business

Space to work through real decisions, with people who understand them, and to leave with credible next steps.

Keynotes

Five leaders who’ve run turnarounds, family firms, a company in Haiti where the jobs are the point, and the global movement itself, on what they learned when faith met the balance sheet.

Practitioner breakouts

Owners on the ground telling the whole story: the setback, the pivot, the breakthrough. No highlight reels.

Working sessions

Bring a real decision from your business. Work it through with peers who’ve faced the same thing, and leave with clearer next steps.

Mentorship and connections

Founders, investors, educators and practitioners who share your convictions. Relationships that keep going after the room empties.

Learn from people who’ve done it

Gregory D. Brenneman

Turned around Continental Airlines, Burger King and PwC Consulting. Lead Director, The Home Depot.

David C. Bentall

Led Dominion Construction to $300 million in sales and built Rogers Arena. Now advises business families worldwide.

Julie Colombino-Billingham

Founded Deux Mains in Haiti, where the jobs are the business, not a charity attached to it.

Ann Chow

Global strategist with 30 years building the systems that keep a company’s purpose alive. Closes Day 2.

This conference is for anyone who shapes a business

Owners and senior leaders

Connecting faith with decisions about people, profitability, growth and succession.

Professionals

Putting faith into practice through the teams, projects and decisions they influence.

Investors and advisors

Working out how to put money and advice behind sound businesses run by people of faith.

Students & emerging entrepreneurs

Exploring the kind of business they want to build, and learning from experienced practitioners.

What we ask of everyone

  • Bring a real business, a real stake in one, or a real plan for one.

  • Come ready to work, not just to listen. Every session asks something of you.

The common thread isn’t a title. It’s the conviction that the business itself can be the mission, and the willingness to do something about it.

What past attendees say

“Come expectant. Leave equipped.”

Sam Chung

“I don’t know a better conference where you can meet people who want their lives to really matter. I love finding others who see their business as something with eternal purpose.”

Russ Swaim

“One of my favourite conferences! Where purpose-driven entrepreneurs and business owners gather for an electrifying day of learning and collaboration.”

Enoch Weng

“Every year the Holy Spirit does something unexpected at the BAM conference. I look forward to what it will be this year!”

Chris Morris, Betterit Chaplains
